Product Description

Why Choose This High-Tenacity PP Webbing?
This high-tenacity PP webbing is woven from high-tenacity polypropylene yarn for products that require good breaking strength without adding unnecessary strap weight. It is suitable for bag handles, luggage straps, backpacks, pet products, outdoor equipment and other sewn textile components.
The strength of polypropylene webbing depends on the yarn, width, thickness, weave density and finished construction. These factors can be adjusted according to the intended application and required breaking strength.
Polypropylene has low moisture absorption and is suitable for products that may be exposed to damp conditions. For PP webbing used outdoors for extended periods, UV resistance, colorfastness and weathering requirements should be confirmed separately. UV-resistant yarn or treatment can be developed when required.
Stable width and thickness help the PP webbing tape feed smoothly during sewing and fit buckles, adjusters and other hardware more accurately. Clean woven edges also reduce handling problems during cutting, folding and assembly.
Different widths, thicknesses, colors, woven patterns, firmness levels and breaking-strength specifications can be customized.

FAQ
Q1: What breaking strength can this polypropylene webbing achieve?
Breaking strength varies according to the webbing specification. A wider or heavier construction does not automatically provide the required performance unless the yarn and weave are also suitable. Please provide the target value in N, kgf or lbf and the required test method before sampling.
Q2: Is breaking strength the same as the safe working load?
No. Breaking strength is the force recorded when the webbing fails under a specified test. Safe working load depends on the required safety factor, stitching, buckles, bends, wear conditions and complete product structure. It must be determined by the finished-product manufacturer according to the actual application.
Q3: Is the webbing abrasion resistant?
The woven structure provides good resistance to normal handling, but actual abrasion performance depends on the contact surface, buckle shape, webbing tension and frequency of use. Testing the webbing with the intended hardware is recommended for products involving repeated rubbing.
Q4: Will this high-tenacity webbing fit my buckles and adjusters?
Compatibility depends on the webbing width, thickness, firmness, edge shape and hardware opening. A webbing that is too thick may be difficult to adjust, while one that is too soft may not remain stable in the buckle.
